About Us

The Hyperion Collective, a non-profit cultural organization, has as an objective the promotion, development, education, research and study of Arts and Cinema, as well as the development of educational and cultural projects. The Collective was born through the effort of former and current members of the School of Arts, and from their intention to diversify Porto’s artistic landscape, by supporting its youth’s cultural projects. In each member’s personal conflict with the hardship of funding their creative projects after finishing their degrees, they saw an opportunity to create a network of support to said projects. The Collective’s goal is to create a platform where up-and-coming artists can find financial support to the making of their projects, and also their integration in a network of other young artists and professionals across the cultural sector, in a clear incentive to the production and networking in the decisive moment of the launching of their careers. The Hyperion Collective has already financed a wide array of award-winning films, such as PARALYMPIA (2021), Eventide (2021), Our house in flames (2021), Hysteria (2021), The Interview (2021), Auspice (2019), Maremoria (2019), When the Forest Whispers (2019).
